What you share with me is confidential. I do discuss my work in my supervision; If I consider you to be at risk to yourself or to others, I will break your confidentiality, which may involve calling the emergency services.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I have appropriate Professional Civil Liability Insurance.
If you wish to make a complaint, I will work with you via my Supervisor to resolve the issue, where this is not possible, complaints can be made to BACP https://www.bacp.co.uk/
I keep brief factual, handwritten notes about our sessions. These are coded to ensure your privacy, and kept in a locked cabinet. You have a right of access to your notes.
If you are late more than 10 minutes, I will call your mobile to check in case you are experiencing any technological difficulties.
If you need to cancel a session in advance, I require 24 hours and above notice – and this will be treated with no charge
If you cancel within 24hours notice, or Do Not Attend (DNA) then this might be treated as a payment in full, and will need to be discussed with you
You or I have the right to terminate this counselling / Supervision relationship at any time. I require a minimum one session notice, to include an ending session. This will give you time to organise alternative arrangements before we end our work together.
I will communicate with you via email and text, if we correspond by email please make sure you check your junk box in case the email needs to be verified.
